Standing water in the drum, or clothes coming out soaking wet? It's usually a free fix.

Two questions sort it. Is there standing water left in the drum — if it drains but won't spin, it's load balance, level or the lid switch. Then drain it and open the coin-trap filter: full of debris means clean it; clean but still not draining means check the drain hose, three steps each.
